ACTION

DGI managed the manufacture, assembly, and delivery of F/A-18E/F and EA-18G aircraft main landing gear ground handling Shock Link Assemblies. The Shock Link Assembly is used during maintenance and repair of the F/A-18E/F and EA-18G aircraft.

First a pre-production unit was manufactured and non-destructive inspection (NDI) was performed in accordance with naval drawings. After a rigid inspection and acceptance of the pre-production unit by the Government, a full manufacturing run of 70 shock link assemblies was performed.

RESULT

All 70 shock link assemblies were inspected without defect, packaged and delivered on or ahead of schedule to Navair without incident. DGI has since been awarded 8 additional contracts from the DLA with pending orders on the horizon to procure Shock Link Assemblies.
