ACTION

A requirement exists for the W867 cable assembly, to support design changes for the SATCOM signal improvement effort. The W867 cable assembly connects the ARC-210 Diplexer to the SATCOM antenna on the UH-1Y aircraft. It allows satellite communication signals to be transmitted and received on the aircraft. This cable will be installed on the UH-1Y to replace an existing cable with discrepancies that impact performance.

Utilizing its Quality Assurance protocols, DGI ensured that manufactured configuration items were functional, reliably made, and built to print in accordance with (IAW) controlling technical drawings, specifications and standards. A continuity check was performed on each cable assembly manufactured and successfully passed a rigid government final inspection.

RESULT

All 160 W867 cable assemblies were delivered on or ahead of schedule to NAVAIR without incident.
