STATEMENT OF WORK

ACTION

The objective of this effort was to manufacturer a first article of the newly redesigned retaining rod spring clip for the USCG. The prototype retaining rod clip was mounted onto the USCG MHD65 to evaluate the effectiveness and durability of the clip during flight operations. A follow-on order of 50 units was ordered for the production run.

DGI procured materials and services to manufacture, assemble, inspect, package, ship, and deliver to the government a quantity of one first article retaining rod clip and 50 production clips. The clips were machined and finished in preparation for attachment onto the MH65D aircraft. DGI produced and supplied the first article retaining rod clip well in advance of the contract deadline date. 

RESULT

The first article and all 50 Units were inspected by the DCMA with no defects. The units were delivered ahead of schedule to the USCG without incident.
