ACTION

Aviation Ground Support Equipment is required in support of the Small Diameter Bomb (SDB) II weapon system. Peculiar SE end-items have been developed by the government to handle, transport, and load the SDB II for United States Navy and Marine Corps operations.

DGI procured materials and services to machine, manufacture, assemble, inspect, package, ship, and deliver to the Government a quantity of two pre-production units. After final approval, 2000 units will be constructed by DGI over five years.

RESULT

The first pre-production units have been delivered and approved. After passing additional government testing on the PPU’s, DGI has received the go-ahead to ramp up production.
