STATEMENT OF WORK

ACTION

The objective was to procure a night vision device modification kit for the LPD27 ship. The NVD kit parts are NVD filters compatible, lamps and attaching hardware to be installed on to the LPD27 ship as part of the tasking to NAVAIR Lakehurst by PMs317 to upgrade the ships to be optically and NVD compatible to the helicopter pilot visually when wearing night vision devices for approach and landing during night flight operations.

Utilizing Quality Assurance protocols, DGI ensured that manufactured configuration items were built to print, functional, and reliably made in accordance with (IAW) controlling technical drawings, specifications and standards. All items successfully passed a rigid government final inspection. 

RESULT

All three ALRE kits were delivered ahead of schedule to Navair without incident.
