SOLUTION

Internal rollers on film pouch forming machine were wearing at the rate of every 10 weeks. They were difficult to replace because of original engineering design of unit…contributing issue…FDA environment.

DGI replaced the rollers in use with rollers after hard coat anodizing with Teflon impregnation. Obstacle…FDA approval. DGI contacted the FDA and supplied all information to make necessary changes and be within FDA standards.

RESULT

All units were upgraded with new rollers. Newly engineered rollers lasted more than 18 months before needing replacement.
